PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Victoria Seals, and Matt Johnson. Staff
members present were City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards, Interim Community
Development Director Laura Oakden, Police Chief and City Clerk Anna Carlson.
1. Budget Discussion
Finance Director Ron Olson presented the 2023 budget item. He explained that the city
will utilize the Budget Committee to assist preparing the budget that will be adopted at
the end of the year. This process is slightly different then what has been used in years
past. He discussed the tax levy and Budget Overview. Factors affecting some increases
in budget are inflation, wages, liability and workers comp Insurance, and Health
Insurance premiums.
There will be some revenues that will be going up slightly which will offset some of the
increases.
Mayor Dennis Walsh noted that the budget 2023 may have some challenges but overall
we should be in good shape.
