A Compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment
system located on this property for the sale of the home. The system consists of a
pressurized seepage bed built in 1971. A Multi -Flo unit was added to the system on
12.30.1997 & the 12' x 501, 600sq.ft. seepage bed was pressurized. The system is
classified as a Type IV with a 500 gallon trash trap (plastic tank), 1 - 750 gallon
Multi -Flo Unit & 1-1500 gallon pump tank (plastic).
Soil boring #1 found no mottled soil (redox features) to 71, elev. 93.3 below the
ground surface & the bottom of the seepage bed at elev. 96.3 leaving a 3' separation
from the bottom of the rock bed & redox features. This system meets the separation
as designed from the bottom of the seepage bed & redox features & is classified as
in compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules.
The Multi -Flo has been serviced by Schirmers Wastewater Treatment Systems since
it was installed. Monitoring of the seepage bed has found no indication of hydraulic
overloading. The Multi -Flo Unit requires to be serviced 2 times a year at a cost of
$250.00 a year (2022 price). The seepage bed has to be monitored 1 time a year at a
cost of $50.00 a year (2022 price). These prices are subject to change.
The tanks were pumped by Elmer J. Peterson Co. & SP Testing which found the 500
gallon plastic tank installed too deep & is collapsing & is classified as non-
compliant. This tank will need to be removed & replaced with a cement tank
matching the existing flow. A tank abandonment report will need to be completed
for this tank. The original design was to have a timer added at the 1500 gallon pump
tank, pumping 113 gal/every 6 hours. A time dose panel & an event counter will also
need to be installed.
The 750 gallon Multi -Flo unit & 1500 gallon pump tank are compliant.
Nothing other than Duman waste, toilet tissue, laundry, showers, water softners etc.
should be disposed of into the system. IRON FILTERS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO
DISHCARGE INTO THE SYSTEM. Garbage disposals are not recommended.
Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners
used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic
effluent. Additives are not recommended. Recommend laundering be limited to 3 to
4 loads per day. The Multi -Flo Unit will need to be pumped when the settable solids
reach 40%. Schirmers Wastewater will meet the pumper & clean out the Multi -Flo at
the same time. There will only be a $50.00 charge for Schirmers Wastewater to
clean the filters in the Multi -Flo unit as long as pumping is only needed 1 time every
3 years. The pumping charges from the pumper are your responsibility.
By using smaller amounts of laundry, dish, dishwasher soaps will help to decrease
pumping the system. See the attached Multi -Flo Care Sheet.
This certificate of compliance is no guarantee that this system will continue to
function indefinitely.

Doc Type: Compliance and Enforcement
Purpose: This form maybe used to certify the compliance status of the sewage tank components of the SSTS. This farm is not a
complete SSTS inspection report, only a tank integrity assessment, and may only certify sewage tank compliance status
when entirely completed and signed by a qualified professional. SSTS compliance inspection report farms can be found at:
https:llwww.pca.state .mn us/water/inspections.
Instructions: This form may be completed, and signed, by a Designated Certified Individual (DCI) of a licensed SSTS inspection,
