Dear Ms. Cuff
Last year the city was working with your neighbor Mick Sletten on removal of your collapsed garage.The
city appreciates the effort so far on removing it. However the city considers it to be a hazardous building
and must now require complete removal.
There are three options for you.
1. You could remove it yourself
2. You could enter into an agreement with the city.The city would cause the removal and assess
the property over a period of 5 years with 8% interest per year.
3. You could do nothing and the city would start a hazardous building action and obtain a court
order to remove the building.The cost of the removal and attorney fees would then be assessed
all in one year.
A deadline of August 4, 2014 has been established for removal. If that deadline is not met the city will
proceed with legal action. Please feel free to contact me at my office if you have any questions.
