AGREEMENT TO UPGRADE/REPL CE ON-SITE SEPTIC
SYSTEM

City shall return the check to the Property Owner upon final inspection approval
of the septic improvements.

must be upgraded or replaced to be in full co pliance with Section 12.30,
Individual Sewage Treatment System Standards or The City of Orono. UWe
have submitted or will submit soil borings, per tests and a detailed design.
And further, UWe agree that such upgrading or re lacement will be completed no
later than six months from the date of this signed agreement. This date may be
extended due to the weather or other unco trollable circumstances with
permission from the ISTS Program Coordinator.
Performance Deposit: For the purposes of assur ng to the City that the septic
improvements will be completed accarding to th terms of this agreement, the
Property Owner will deposit with the City at the ti e of signing this agreement a
certified check satisfactory to the City providing t at the City is able to cash the
check in its sole discretion to complete the septic improvements if the Property
Owner fails to satisfactorily complete the work pri r to the completion date. The
City shall return the check after final inspe tion approval of the septic
improvements.
