Orono, Iienn. Co. , MN This system is Designed for a Type 1, our bedroom home and in accordance with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agenc Chapter 7080 and local ordinances . The soils on this site are typical of SCS oils mapped -, KkC2 - Kilkenny clay loam. A seasonally high water table as located at 12" , 14" , 16" & 18" , (mottled soil ) . Due to the seasona ly high water table , a pressurized mound system will need to be i stalled. The bottom of the rock bed must be located at least 3 ' above the seasonally high water table. The soils at a depth of 18" have a percola ion rate aver.aging 45 . 6 min/inch and are adequate for treating sep ic effluent. A pumping chamber will need to be installe to lift the effluent to the treatment area. The manifold and supply line pipe must hav back drainage to the pumping chamber. The distribution pipes shall hav their ends capped. Be sure the rock and sand fill material are clean. The sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, j st break up the sod, be sure not to over work. The power supply and switches must be loca ed outside the manhole and pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosu e. A warning device must be installed with a light and sound device, t is is in case of a pump failure. (Mercury floats are a goo.d method) . All neighboring wells are located more tha 100 ' away from the proposed treatment area. Keep all heavy equipment off of the prop.os d treatment area before and after construction as mueh as possible. T e treatment area should be marked off before construction. - CONT ' D Soil and Percolation. ests Sptic Syslm Desi rt With proper installation and maintenance, this system should have no problem in treating septic effluent effec ively. a Recommend to pump the septic tank every y ar if there is only 1 tank & every 2 years if there are 2 tanks . _____. ..` __ Steven B.
