RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING
OFFICER JAY DEMBOUSKI
FOR HIS
THIRTY TWO YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITY AS A POLICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Jay Dembouski was appointed to the position of Police
Officer on April 6, 1990; and
WHEREAS,Jay Dembouski was promoted to Corporal in January 1995;
WHEREAS, Jay Dembouski honorably served the U.S. Marine Corp in
Operation Desert Storm as an MP on a six month deployment;
WHEREAS,Jay Dembouski was promoted to Sergeant in July 2000;
WHEREAS, his years of service as Police Officer, Corporal and Sergeant
has been characterized by his dedication to providing the highest quality police
service to the city and its citizens;
WHEREAS, Jay Dembouski has provided service to the community in a
fair,respectful, honest,trustworthy, and selfless manner and;
WHEREAS, Jay Dembouski is resigning from his position as Police
Officer effective March 31,2022.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the Orono City Council
does hereby recognize and commend Officer Jay Dembouski for his leadership,and
dedicated service to the community as a Police Officer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does hereby
extend its best wishes to Officer Jay Dembouski.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held
this 28th day of February, 2022.
