No 627 - State License #394 - Phone 763-497-3566 - Fax 763-497-5011 www.sptesting.wastewaterC@comcast.net - schirmerswastewater.com February 23, 2022 John & Julie Lesser 165 Cristofori Circle Orono, MN The soils were thawed using propane heaters. A Compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment system located on this property for the sale of the home. The system consists of 1- 1300 gallon trash trap, 1-1300 gallon septic tank, 1-1300 gallon pump tank, a 750 gallon Multi -Flo Aerobic Wastewater Treatment System & a pressurized mound system, built in June of 1996 for a 5 bedroom home. The Multi -Flo unit was installed on 7-13-07. Soil boring #1A found mottled soil (redox features) at 1.3' & the original soil at elev. 88.1 & the bottom of the rock at elev. 89.8 leaving 1.7' of sand & a 3' separation from the bottom of the rock bed & redox features. Soil boring #2A found the sand & rock to be dry, no indication of hydraulic overloading. This system meets the required 3' separation from the bottom of the trenches & redox features & is classified as in compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules. The tanks were pumped & certified by Elmer J. Peterson Co. Risers will be extended to the surface in the spring by Elmer J. Peterson Co. after the frost is out. The cost of the repair should be completed at this time to assure this will tank place. The Gazebo placed over the Multi -Flo system will need to be removed. It is very difficult to service the Multi -Flo when it is needed. Nothing other than gray water (laundry, showers etc.) human waste & toilet tissue should be disposed of into the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended due to adding more solids & fine solids passing through into the system. Iron filters are also not recommended & should be diverted out of the system. Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria you need living in the system. Additives are not recommended. Dishwasher & Laundry pods should not be used. The Multi -Flo has been serviced by Schirmers Wastewater Treatment Systems since it was installed. Monitoring of the trenches have found the trenches dry. No indication of hydraulic overloading. The Multi -Flo Unit requires to be serviced 2 times a year at a cost of $250.00 a year (2022 price). The trenches have to be monitored 1 time a year at a cost of $50.00 a year (2022 price). These prices are subject to change. Nothing other than human waste, toilet tissue, laundry, showers, water softners etc. should be disposed of into the system. IRON FILTERS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO DISHCARGE INTO THE SYSTEM. Garbage disposals are not recommended. Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic effluent. Additives are not recommended. Recommend laundering be limited to 3 to 4 loads per day. The Multi -Flo Unit will need to be pumped when the settable solids reach 40%. Schirmers Wastewater will meet the pumper & clean out the Multi -Flo at the same time. There will only be a $50.00 charge for Schirmers Wastewater to clean the filters in the Multi -Flo unit as long as pumping is only needed 1 time every 3 years. The pumping charges from the pumper are your responsibility. By using smaller amounts of laundry, dish, dishwasher soaps will help to decrease pumping the system. See the attached Multi -Flo Care Sheet. This certificate of compliance is no guarantee that this system will continue to function indefinitely. Steven B.
