Edwards, P.E., City Administrator/ Engineer RE: Park Commission Interviews 1. Purpose. The purpose for this works session item is provide the City Council the opportunity to interview prospective Park Commissioners. 2. Background. The Parks Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three year terms. Two positions are currently vacant due to resignations. These positions have terms that expire in 2023. The applicants have shared interest in serving on the Park Commission. 3. Applicants. The new applicants are listed below. Their applications are attached. Appointments. An Appointment Resolution will be on the regular council meeting agenda for approval. Edwards, P.E., City Administrator/ Engineer Correy Farniok, Chief of Police RE: Prosecuting Attorney Contract 1.Purpose. The purpose for this works session item is provide the City Council to discuss plan for Prosecuting Attorney. 2.Background. Per the Request for Proposal (RFP) schedule for contracted services, 2021 is the year for Prosecuting Attorney. The Current contract for prosecuting attorney contract term ends on March 31st, 2022. 3.Options. Three are several options as we move forward. They include: a.Request quote from current vendor for 5 year extension/ contract period. b.Solicit quotes/ proposals from a select list of vendors. c.Partner with our police contract cities for a common prosecuting attorney for all.
