No 627 — State License #394 — Phone 763-497-3566 — Fax 763-497-5011 www.sptesting.wastewater@comcast.net— schirmerswastewater.com February 11, 2020 WD Larson 1205 French Creek Or. Orono, MN A Compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment system located on this property for the sale of the home. The system consists of 2- 1500 gallon septic tanks, 1-1500 gallon pump tank from 1989 & a 25' x 46' pressurized seepage bed = 1250sq.ft. sized for a 6 bedroom home, built on 10-1-15. The existing trenches were removed & backfilled with washed sand, then placed the seepage bed. There are 2 soil verifications, 1 by SP Testing, Inc. on 7-23-15 finding mottled soil (redox features) at 72" & 1 by The City of Orono on 9-2-15 finding mottled soil at 74". The bottom f the rock was found at 2.5' leaving a 3.5' separation from the bottom of the system & redox features. This system meets the required 3' separation & is classified as in compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules. Soil probing into the system found the system to be dry, no sign of hydraulic overloading. The tanks were pumped by Kothrade Sewer, Water & Excavating, Inc. & were found to be compliant. Nothing other than gray water (laundry, showers etc.) human waste & toilet tissue should be disposed of into the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended due to adding more solids & fine solids passing through into the system. Iron filters are also not recommended & should be diverted out of the system. Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria you need living in the system. Additives are not recommended. Recommend to pump & clean you tanks through the manhole by a certified pumper every 2 years. Check with your pumper to set up a schedule. IRON FILTERS MUST NOT BE PUT INTO THE SYSTEM. This certificate of compliance is no guarantee that this system will continue to function indefinitely. Steven B. Schirmers S -P TESTING INC. Steven B.
