PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Aaron Printup, Matt Johnson and Richard F.
Crosby II. Staff members present were City Administrator/Engineer/Public Works Director Adam
Edwards, Finance Director Ron Olson, Public Works Superintendent DJ Goman and Community
Development Director Jeremy Barnhart.
Meeting started: 5:00 p.m.
1. Budget Discussion -Revenue
Finance Director Ron Olson presented the 2022 Revenue budget to the City Council. He
explained some increases which included the addition of Spring Park Public Works
agreement, additional grant proceeds related to Toward Zero Deaths grant program, and
the contracted increases the city will see from the police service contracts. Olson noted
the property tax levy is a major revenue source for the General Fund and that the General
Fund tax levy is increasing by approximately 5.1%. This is the amount needed to balance
the draft expenditure budget. Olson also visited other revenue funds and expectations of
those to come for 2022.
