Fire Department THE FOLLOWZNG ZTBI�iS are to be completed before the inspector arrives (If insp ector has to re-inspect site because items were not complete, there will be a $20.00 charge per re- inspection): 1. Street address must be posted and visible from the street. Where more than one house is served by the same private driveway or unnamed private road, additional sets of numbers shall be placed at every fork or other driveway as necessary to direct traffic to every house including the house farthest from the street. 2. Burn pile must be stacked at burn site meeting the following: - Minimum 50' from buildings - Wood and paper products only - 8' maximum diameter, 4 high maximum 3. Draw a map on back side of permit application locating the burn pile. 4. If these conditions are not met, the permit will be denied and you may not apply for anather permit for 30 days. 5. Read all conditions on backside of permit before burning. Violations of these conditions may result in the issuance of citations and permit may be revoked. The location of the burning shall be conducted not less than 50 feet ` from any structure and adequate provision is made to prevent fire from spreading to within 50 feet of any structure. If the fire is contained in an approved waste burner it may be located safely not less than 15 feet from any structure and fire extinguishing equipment readily available for use. 7. If burning occurs within 600 feet from an occupied residence other than those located on the property, applic�ant must receive permission from all residents within 600 feet. ; 8. Oils, rubber and other smoke prodticing materials shall not be burned" or used as starting materials. 9. Any fire allowed by this permit shall be extinguished within four ( �} hours of a public announcement by the Minnesota Pollution Contral Agency that an air pollution alert, warning or emergency_ exists. Franklin & Ainsligh: In a police report dated June 19 , 1989 , it was again indicated that the conditions listed on the burning permit have not been followed at the above referenced site. These conditions are as follows: 1. The pile is too large (20'x8' ) . The permit application states that the maximum diameter is 8' with a maximum height of 4'. 2. The applicant did not give notice to the Police Department prior to buring. 3. Burning was done in areas not approved by the inspector (4 burn locations were listed on incident report; only 1 location was approved for burning). 4. No water supply at site. Condition requires applicant to provide water supply to burning site. � It is apparent that you or your designees have failed to follow the conditions of the burning permit, therefore I am writing this letter to inform you that your failure to abide by the conditions stated on the permit application has created a fire hazard pursuant to Uniform Fire Code Section 11.116. It is this department's goal to eliminate such hazards. As a result of your continued failure to comply with the conditions set forth for burning permits, you will no longer be able to obtain burning permits in the City.
