The City has received complaints regarding a dog kennel that has been erected on your property by
a neighbor.
The kennel structure is in violation of several ordinances and must be removed. The City has
attempted to require the neighbor to remove it; however, he has refused. Unfortunately, you, the
property owner,becomes responsible. Please remove the structure before February 28,2000. If you

The City has received complaints about the maintenance of
the property at the end of Baldur Park Road, and after a site �:
inspection we found the property to be in violatien of Orono
Municipal Code Section 9.55, Subdivision 1. Our main concern is
the piles of brush and wood which we feel is a fire hazard.
Therefore, we must require you to remove these brush/wood Files
before May 8, 1989. The brush may be hauled away or you could
apply for a burning permit from the City, and if you meet all the
requirements, the piles could be burned.
If this deadline is not met the City may issue citations.
If you have any questions or if you have a problem meeting this
deadline, please feel free to contact me at my office. �

Dear Mr. Franklin & Mr. Ainsligh:
I conducted a site inspection at the above referenced
property for which you have obtained a burning permit. The
inspection revealed that you are creating another burn site on
the lot, which is not acceptable per the Orono/State Fire Code.
I am writing this letter to inform you that Permit #05-225-89 has
been revoked and another will not be issued for you to burn at
the location you are stacking your piles on your lot.

Re: 1350 Baldur Park Road - Clean-up of Debris/Hazardous Buildings
Dear Mr. Franklin:
As you know from the letter dated June 26, 1989, I have conducted a
site inspection of the above subject property on June 26 , 1989. I am
writing this letter to inform you that the buildings on this property are
left in a state of deterioration and unsafe condition. Since these
structures are open to trespassers and children frequently playing in the
area, it constitutes a definite hazard. Therefore, under the provisions of
Minnesota State Building Code 1305.0400, Section 203 , and Minnesota
Statutes 463 the City is requesting that you immediately proceed to
demolish this building or make application to Planning Commission and
Council for a variance to restore it to a safe condition.
Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 463.251, securing vacant buildings
- the City is ordering that you secure the building within 10 days of this
order. Failure to secure the structures shall result with the City
properly securing the building and the cost thereof charged against the
real estate as provided in Section 463.21.
It is also noted that during this inspection I found used building
materials dumped in a pile north of the garage structure. The City is
requesting that this also be cleaned up along with the piles of brush and
wood which constitute a fire hazard within 14 days (July 11, 1989 ) .
Failure to meet this deadline will result in the City issuing citations and
the matter referred to the City Attorney for proper legal action.
