A RESOLUTION APPROVING A
DONATED MEDICAL LEAVE POLICY,
TO BE ADDED TO THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICIES
WHEREAS, the City has a set of personnel policies that set out the terms and conditions
of employment; and
WHEREAS, a policy regarding the donation of medical leave to an employee who is
experiencing a life-threatening illness has been developed to enable regular pay and benefits to
be continued during a period of treatment and recovery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono
does hereby approve the addition of a Donated Medical Leave Policy to the City's Personnel
Policies.

Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular
meeting held February 25, 2008.
