Dear Crystal Bay Resident:
The sanitary sewer project in the Crystal Bay area was
completed, inspected and accepted on June 11, 1986. There are
some ,restoration items yet to be completed.
If you have not already done so, you can connnect your
residence or business to the sanitary sewer main line.
The deadline fos connection to the sewer main line is 16 �
months from June 11, 1986 or October 11, 1987.
A licensed contractor is requirea to make this type of
connection in the City of Orono.
The contractor must obtain a permit from the City prior to _ �
any work being done.
The permit fee is $30.50. A Service Availabil3ty Charge
� (SAC) of $475.00 must be paid before or at the time the permit �.s ,
issued. Be advised that the City of Orono is only the collection ;
agency for the SAC fee. The Metropolitan Waste Control �
Commission actually receives these monies. � �

Some of you may have already paid the SAC fee in advmnce. •
For your information, your existing septic tank must be
pumped an� filled with approved fill when connection to the sewer - �
main has been comple�ed.
