Dear Crystal Bay Resident:
The sanitary sewer project in the Crystal Bay area was
completed, inspected and accepted on June 11, 1986. Ther are
someorestoration items yet to be completed.
If you have not already done so, you can connnect your
residence or business to the sanitary sewer main line.
The deadline for connection to the sewer main line is 16 '
months from June 11, 1986 or Ocober 11, 1987.
A licensed contractor is required to make this type of
connection in the City of Orono.
The contractor must obtain a permit from the City prior to
any work being done.

The permit fee is $30.50. A Servfce Availability Charge
(SAC) of $475.00 must be paid before or at the time the permit is ,
issuecl. Be advised that the City of Orono is only the collection ;
agency for the SAC fee. The Metropolitan Waste Control i
Commission actually receives these monies.
i
- Some of you may have already paid the SAC fee 3n advance. -
For your information, your existing sept3c tank must be
pumped and filled with approved fill when connection to the sewer
main has been completed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at
473-7359.
Sincerely, ;

Dear Ms. Swanson:
In December 1987, I notified you that according to our files you
had not connected to the sanitary sewer.
Due to weather conditions at that time, the City did not proceed
with formal action to force connection to the sewer.
However, weather conditions are now favorable and our files
indicate that you still have not completed the connection.
Please contact me immediately to avoid further legal action by
the City.
I can be reached at 473-7357.
Sincerely,
