Sta.tutes 282, the City has received from Hennepin County notification that a parcel of land within the City has become the property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate t�es, referencing C/NC List #1493 encompassing two adjacent parcels identified as PINS 10-117-23-31-0072 and 10-117-23-31-0073; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed sa.id land for compliance with local zoning ordinances,for the amount of outstanding special assessments remaining unpaid to the City,and/or for possible public use by the City as authorized in the Sta.tutes. In addition the Council has reviewed said land and certified that this parcel need not be withheld from sale pursuant to Minnesota.Sta.tutes 85.021, 92.461, 282.01, Subd. 8, 282.018, Subd. 1 or 282.018, Subd. Z. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282,hereby approves the classification of said parcel of Iand as Non- Conservation land, and further approves the sale of said land at public auction, with the following recommended conditions: 1. The two parcels are not individually builda.ble under existing applicable zoning ordinance provisions, including those regulations providing for minimum lot area and minimum lot width. However, lot area.,lot width,and building setback variances will be granted to a11ow the construction of one single family residence on a combination of the two parcels; the magnitude of setback variances is subj ect to City Council approval. This properry does not meet current zoning standards. 2. Release of this parcel by the City Council is subject to the condition that upon purchase the purchaser shall legally combine the two parcels into one 0.64 acre tax parcel. A RESOLUTION ORDERING ASSESSMENT OF HAZA1tDOU5 BUILDING ABATEMENT COSTS WHEREAS, the City Council declared that the property at 1245 Arbor Street, Orono,Minnesota, was hazardous within the meaning of Minn. Stat. §463.15, subd. 3.; and WHEREAS,the property owners did not comply with the City Council's Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Building; and WHEREAS,the City brought this matter to Hennepin County District Court for summary enforcement of its Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Building; and WHEREAS,the Honorable Linda J. Gallant,Referee of District Court, ordered summary enforcement of the City's Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Building; and WHEREAS,that Court ordered that all costs may be specially assessed against the real property; and WHEREAS, assessment of these costs against the real property is specifically authorized under Minn. Stat. §§ 429.061,429.081, and 463.21; and WHEREAS,the costs associated with this hazardous building project total $�,743.50; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orono hereby assesses the amount of five thousand seven hundred forty three and 50/100 dollars($5,743.50)against the following described parcel, said assessment to be payable in a single installment pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 463.21. The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the Hennepin County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County.
