Dear Crystal Bay Resident:
The sanitary sewer project in the Crystal Bay area was I
completed, inspected and accepted on June 11, 1986. There are
some �restoration items yet to be completed. '��
If you have not already done so, you can connnect your I�
residence or business to the sanitary sewer main line.
The deadline for connection to the sewer main line is 16
months from June 11, 1986 or October 11, 1987.
A licensed contractor is required to make �his type of
connection in the City of Orono.
The contractor muat obtain a permit from the City prior to
any work being done.
The permit fee is $30.50. A Service Availabf lity Charge
� (SAC) of $475.00 must be paid before or at the time the permit is
issuecl. Be advised that the City o£ Orono is only the collection ;
agency for the SAC fee. The Metropolitan Waste Control i
Commission actually receives these monies. �, �

Some of you may have already paid the SAC fee in advance. ', �

For your information, your existing septic tank must be �I
pumped and filled with approned fili when connection to the sewer I �
main has been comp].e�ed.
