Dear Members of the Orono Baseball Association:
On behalf of the Orono Park Commission, I am pleased to inform you that your group has been
selected as a recipient of the Friends of the Parks award. This award has been established by
the City of Orono to be given to an individual or group who volunteer their time and effort on
behalf of Orono's parks. You have been chosen as a recipient for your effort in organizing the
resources of the community together to create two state-of-the-art ballfields. The dedicated work
by your members have insured that future generations of children and their parents will have
great memories of the opporiunities that these two fields provide.
In recognition of your volunteer work, the Orono City Council and the Park Commission would
like to honor you at a reception on Monday, November 6, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. at the Orono
Council Chambers. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact John Gerhardson at
