RESOLUTION TO COMMITT CITY FUNDS
TO THE BIG ISLAND—ADA TRAILS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City has been allocated $300,000 in the most recent State Bonding Bill;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)
has requested that the City pass a resolution committing required city funds to the project prior to
providing the bonding bill allocation; and
WHEREAS,the City's responsibility is currently less than$160,000; and
WHEREAS, the current General Fund balance of$5,250,912 is more than adequate to
provide the required funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Orono City Council that the City of
Orono, place a commitment on the fund balance of the General Fund to pay for the City share of
the Big Island ADA trails project.
