The light would be in the exact same location as it is on the current pole. We do not lease the poles, they are owned by Xcel Energy. We do not install on customer owned poles. If you wanted to add a pole and wire to better position the light, the cost would be $553 or an additional $10.90 + tax/month. Your current bill will be going down $1.27 per month with the light being changed out to the area style fixture. A 250W is available, in areas where it is not disallowed by city code. I am working with our product manufacturer on the cutoff 250W area fixture, hopefully I will have word on that option soon. The city said that as long as it had the full shield, it would be ok, so I think that's our best option at this point. They city says the 250W area with the painted side doesn't comply with that code, so at this point its looking like the 100W area is the only real option. The initial fixture was exchanged for a different, more shielded fixture and repositioned away from the neighboring homes. We have received a complaint from a resident across the bay who expressed concern regarding the brightness of this light. I know we did not anticipate that the relocated fixture would impact any additional residences; however it appears now that it does. I hope we can, again, work with you to resolve this matter so that there are no further complaints. You may remember our Code that states: City Code Section 78-1573: "Any use requiring an operation producing an intense heat or light transmission shall be performed with the necessary shielding to prevent such heat or light from being detectable at the lot line of the site on which the use is located. Lighting in all instances shall be diffused or directed away from R districts and public streets". Please contact me to discuss at your convenience.
