RE: Building Permit Application
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bloms:
This office received your building permit application to add on to your existing deck. A review
of your submittals revealed a problem with your proposal. Orono Zoning Code Section 10.03,
Subd. 14 (C) limits properties to 15% lot coverage. Your proposal would bring your property to
16%. Therefore, I cannot issue the permit to you.
If you feel you have a hardship, you could ask the City Council for a variance. I am returning the
application to you. If you have any variance questions, feel free to contact Jeanne A. Mabusth,
Building and Zoning Administrator.
