Re: Request for Land Alteration Permit
Dear Ms. Sumey:
The Building & Zoning Department is in receipt of your
application for a land alteration permit for lakeshore bank
restoration. This letter is to advise you that such work
requires City Council approval of a Conditional Use Permit. All
grading work occurring within 75' of the shoreline is subject to
a Variance/Conditional Use Permit review, requiring a Public
Hearing before the Planning Commisison and review and approval by
the City Council.
I am enclosing copies of the Municipal Code Sections which
affect your proposed work, and a copy of the Conditional Use
Permit application. You will have to provide a survey and
grading plan for the proposed work, showing the existing and the
proposed contours and detailed cross sectional views. The
sketches submitted by your contractor do not provide sufficient
detail for review of the application.
I have highlighted the pertinent sections of the application
for your review and follow up. If your completed application is
submitted to this office by noon on Friday May 24th, your
application would be scheduled for Public Hearing before the
Planning Commission on June 17th, with Council action on July
8th.
