Dear Ms. Pagonis,
It has come to my attention that you had some questions regarding the demolition of the hazardous structure
(boathouse) located on your property. On October 31, 2014 the City sent its contractor to your property to
finish removing all debris associated with the original demolition. At this point the City considers this project
complete; you have 1 year to apply for a permit and rebuild your boathouse. Also, please contact the Lake
Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD) at 952.745.0789 regarding their regulations for construction within
the lake.

A RESOLUTION FOR THE CERTIFICATION OF COSTS RELATED TO THE
REMOVAL OF THE HAZARDOUS BUILDING LOCATED AT
2740 SHADYWOOD ROAD
Whereas, the City initiated a hazardous building action for the property at 2740
Shadywood Road; and
Whereas, the hazardous building has been removed at City expense; and
Whereas, The Hennepin County Court has approved the amount of the expenditure for
certification to the property tax rolls.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono as
follows:
That the Hennepin County Special Assessment Division is hereby authorized to place the
costs totaling $11,600, on the 2014 property tax rolls, payable in 2015.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, this 27th day of
October, 2014.

I, Lyle Oman, being first duly sworn on oath, depose and state as follows:
1. I am the Building Official for the City of Orono, a Minnesota municipal
corporation("City");
2. I have reviewed the City's records relating to the expenses incurred by the City in
this matter relating to the enforcement of Orono's Resolution No. 6229 adopted May 13, 2013,
and the court Order entered January 15, 2014, relating to the removal of the hazardous buildings
and conditions located at 2740 Shadywood Road, Orono, Minnesota;
3. This Statement of Expenses is submitted pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 463.22;
4. The City has incurred expenses totaling $11,600.00 in connection with the
enforcement of the above Order, calculated and documented by City business records as follows:
Mikie's Landscaping $ 4,500.00
Campbell Knutson, P.A. —legal fees and expenses 6,810.00
Estimated legal fees 290.00
Total $11,600.00
5. The City has not received any money for the repairs, razing, correction or removal
of buildings and debris from the site.
