Re: 2380 Shadywood Road
Dear Mr. Christianson:
As you are aware,TOLD Development's proposal for a Walgreen's drugstore at the 2380 Shadywood
Road site in Navarre has been withdrawn. We have heard no inklings of any new developers
planning to submit proposals for the property. In the meantime,the City Council has requested that
we contact you regarding the current condition and use of the site. Our concerns are as follows:
1. The church building continues to be an attractive nuisance, and needs immediate attention
to ensure it remains secure and safe. The Police Department has asked us whether you are
willing to remove it, hence I would appreciate hearing from you as to this possibility.
Perhaps its removal would make the site more marketable.
2. The site is being used for commercial storage of vehicles and equipment, which is not
allowed except in conjunction with a Permitted (or Conditional)primary use. While we are
concerned about the continued daytime parking of O'Sullivans' employees, a far greater
problem is the apparent use of the site by a local contractor for storage of various mobile
equipment and materials, i.e.: a dump truck, a bucket truck, a 20'trailer, large wood beams,
crane attachments, and a satellite dish.
It appears to us that use of the property is completely uncontrolled at this time. I would appreciate
