Can the property owner move forward with these signs and sizes for the (3)you have called out on the plan as needing
to gain approval. They would be put up on u-channels.
Can you confirm what you would require as far as height from grade to bottom of sign?

Subject: 2380 Shadywood Road
Good Afternoon,
I've been speaking with Jim at Landmark Architectural Signs.
Attached is a copy of the approved parking plan and required handicapped spots. Any proposed changes to this plan
must be submitted and approved prior to execution.
According to City Code Section 78-1468, only wall and monument signs are allowed. The monument sign could be an
LED sign, but the message may not change. Current City Code does not permit a dynamic display or flashing signs.
A free standing sign is permitted 50 square feet. As proposed the plans reflect 57.5 sf.
Internal directional signs are permitted; the three "no thru traffic" signs are considered traffic control signs and these
signs, because they are visible for traffic entering from Shadywood Road, must meet standards outlined in the MN
MUTCD. The city will not enforce or maintain any directional or traffic control signs.
Please note the City is currently reviewing changes to the sign ordinance that may allow for some use of dynamic
display, we anticipate a public review in the next 2-4 months.
Please use the link below to our online portal when submitting a sign permit.
