An after-the-fact building permit application was submitted for the deck which was converted into a <br /> screened porch without permits. Staff conducted a preliminary review of the permit application and based on the <br /> information provided we determined the application to be incomplete. To-date we have not received the requested <br /> information. In order to review your application we need the following: <br /> 1. Certificate of Survey. A survey was submitted, however it does not meet all of the City's survey standards <br /> (enclosed), specifically the average lakeshore setback is not shown. Please add additional details to the <br /> survey and show the average lakeshore setback line. <br /> 2. Hot Tub. The new hot tub shown on the survey does not meet the 10' side yard setback'; a 10' setback from <br /> the deck/porch and appears to be located within the average lakeshore setback. The hot tub must be moved <br /> to a conforming location. See enclosed Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs information packet. <br /> 3. Setbacks. The existing deck is shown set back 7'-8" from the property line, where a 10' setback is required. <br /> If it is determined that the porch is not located within the average lakeshore setback, the porch must be <br /> altered to meet the 10' setback on the North side. Please note, if the porch is located within the average <br /> lakeshore setback the porch must be completely removed. <br /> 4. Hardcover Calculations. The property is located in Tier 1 of the Stormwater Quality Overlay District and is <br /> permitted up to 25% hardcover. Hardcover calculations are shown on the survey; however, please have the <br /> surveyor prepare hardcover calculations, using the City's Hardcover Calculation Worksheet. Attached is a <br /> copy of our hardcover information packet which includes the worksheet. <br /> Please be aware, the property remains in violation of City Code Section 86-37 & 86-66 (copies attached) requiring <br /> permits for construction. Please submit the requested information by Wednesday,July 8, 2015 to avoid this matter <br /> being forward to the City attorney for an enforcement action.
