Orono We hereby submit an estimate for the Demolition of a city owned house which will consist of the following items of work. 1. Disconnect utilities which include a. Disconnect water& sewer at the property line. b. Disconnect power and telephone lines at the power pole. 2. Remove and dispose of 10 appliances and 3 air conditioning units inside the house. 3. Remove and dispose of all rubbish inside of house and sheds. 4. Demolish and dispose of house and two small sheds on property. 5. Remove and dispose of concrete foundation and floors and sidewalks. 6. Slope existing dirt on lot into basement and provide for drainage. CONDITIONS: We will not be responsible for any underground facilities or utilities that are not located and marked.All Inspection, Testing,Permit,Traffic Control,Utility Access charges(SAC, WAC),and surveying fees will be charged extra. This Bid is based on dry soil conditions,if wet conditions exist there will be extra charges based on time and material. Removal of any Hidden or buried debris under job site will be charged extra.Temporary facilities are not included unless specified.Rock excavation,soil correction,underpinning,shoring or retention systems,and dewatering are all extra.Contaminated soils or Hazardous waste abatement removal and disposal,or import or export of any soils not listed will be charged extra.Normal clean up is included for our work only. We will not assume the responsibility for any restoration of turf,water pipes,trees,tree roots,sprinkler systems,erosion control,or hard surfaced driveways etc.unless prior noted.Winter condition,Frost braking or prevention will be charged extra. We reserve the right to add a fuel surcharge if the cost of fuel varies from the date of this contract till the actual work is done. We reserve the right to file a Mechanic's Lien if bill is not paid(in full)within 30 days of completion of work.If we do file a mechanic's lien after the bill has been unpaid for 30 days,you agree to pay all costs that we incur in filing such a lien,including attorney's fees. In the event we do not file a mechanic's lien or choose not to foreclose a filed mechanic's lien and legal action becomes necessary to collect the bill representing the work done under this contract,you agree to pay all costs which we incur in the collection of said bill, including attorney's fees.Volkenant Inc.reserves the right to remove equipment from the site at any time,regardless of contract default or termination. Page 2 of 2 We propose hereby to furnish material and labor to complete in accordance with above specifications,for the sum of: Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars($ 17,500.00 ) Payment to be made as follows: In full upon completion. The entire amount to be paid upon completion,Thereafter a service charge of 1.5%per month on the balance due hereon will be added to the total cost of work completed. Buyer agrees to pay reasonable attorney fees for the collection of any unpaid balance. All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices.Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications may be executed upon written orders for the same.In the event such alteration or deviation shall be executed and shall result in extra cost for labor or material,the same shall become an extra charge over the sum mentioned in this contract.All agreements herein are contingent upon strikes,weather and other necessary insurance.Our workers are fully covered by Workman's Compensation Insurance. Buyer agrees that title of all material shall remain with the contractor,and that the contractor shall have the right of removal until payment has been made in full.
