Purpose. The purpose for this works session item is provide the City Council the opportunity to interview prospective Park Commissioners. 2. Background. The Parks Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three year terms. Three of the positions have terms that expire in 2020 and one position is vacant due to a resignation. 3. Applicants. The new applicants are listed below. Their applications and sample interview questions are attached. Applicants have been asked to begin with a brief informal dialogue about themselves and why they desire to serve on the Park Commission. Applicant Interview Time Taylor Stephens 5:00-5:15 4. Current Commissioners. Commissioner Term Expires Request Members Brian Roath March 1st 2020 Appointed as Chair as of Jan 2020. Wishes to be reappointed. Has served since 2017. Jan Berg March 1st, 2022 Casey Conrad Hudson March 1st, 2022 Julie Ruegemer March 1st, 2020 Wishes to be reappointed. Has served since 2014. Rick Carter March 1st, 2022 VACANT March 1st, 2022 Previously held by Rick Meyers Bryce Johnson March 1st, 2020 Does not wish to be reappointed Alternate Members Beth Davis March 1st, 2020 Jennifer Klaanhsen March 1st, 2022 Wishes to be appointed a Regular member of the Park Commission. Has served since 2019. 5. Appointments. An Appointment Resolution will be on the Regular Council Meeting Agenda for approval. Attachments: A.
