The purpose of these regulations is to protect wetlands and lakes. You are responsible for complying with these regulations. The following is an abbreviated summary of the regulations. 1. If your project requires a permit from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) or Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), you must also apply for and comply with those permit requirements. 2. Soil that accumulates behind a silt fence must be removed when it reaches a third of the way to the top of the fence. 3. All disturbed ground left inactive more than 14 days must be either temporarily or permanently stabilized (mulch, seed and mulch, sod, hydromulch, etc.) 4. You must provide sanitary facilities for all on-site workers, either a portable toilet or access to the permanent facilities. 5. Refuse and materials to be recycled must either be taken off site at the end of each work day or be placed in a dumpster. The dumpster must be emptied as necessary. 6. Vehicles must enter and leave the site by means of the existing driveway or the stabilized construction entrance. 7. Construction parking must be located on site, on a paved roadway, or an improved shoulder. 8. Any material tracked onto a roadway must be removed by the end of the work day. Removed material must be returned to the project site or removed, not just swept off the road. 9. Dumpsters and material may not be stored on a roadway. This is an information sheet.
