Wayzata MN 55391 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Smith; The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the City of Orono Parking and boat storage regulations. You have had vehicles and a boat and trailer parked along Arbor Street adjacent to the Crystal Bay Park. These vehicles have been parked off the edge of the pavement on the grass in the park. Section 8.06 of the Orono Municipal Code for streets without curb requires vehicles to be "parked parallel and to the right of the paving, improved or main traveled part of the street" Parking on the grass off the paved portion of the street is not allowed and is a violation of the Code. Exterior storage in residential districts is regulated by Section 10.61 of the City Code. Boats and trailers less than 20 feet in length should be stored to the rear of the house and at least 10 feet form the property line. Storage of boats and trailers on public streets or in City parks is not allowed. Also, Section of the 8.20 of the City Code limits parking hours on City streets. "It is unlawful for any person to stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle upon any public street between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A. M.". Confined violation of the City parking regulations will result in Citations being issued by the Police Department. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Sincerely; _ _ a ) Tre GreWy A.
