Dear Mr. Jacobs:
This office represents Gary Gabrelcik as a third party defendant
in the above-captioned litigation which stems from a fire on
November 25, 1980 , in a house located at 1290 Arbor Street,
Crystal Bay, Minnesota. As a result of Demand for Production of
Documents , we have received from Plaintiffs ' attorney your letter
of January 16, 1981, addressed to Bob Carlson of 1290 Arbor Street.
In that letter you quote five building code violations that the
installation of the wood-burning stove violated.
I would appreciate receiving documentation regarding those building
code violations and would ask that you forward this information
to me. If there is a charge for photocopying, please submit your
bill at the same time, and we will promptly remit payment.
I would also be interested in a copy of the testing laboratory or
manufacturer's instruction regarding the manner of installation
of a Franklin wood-burning stove which you would have referred to
to determine how the product should be installed to determine if
the installation met the City of Orono 's codes . Once again, if
there is a charge for providing this information, please advise,
and we will remit payment of same.
