Orono, MN A Compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment system located on this property. The system consists of 1-1250, 1-1000 gallon septic tanks, 1-1250 gallon pumping chamber &286 lin.ft.(858sq.ft. found) of trench system built in January of 1996 for a 5 bedroom home. Soil boring #1 found no mottled soil (redox features) to a depth of 6.5' &the bottom of the rock was found at 2.1' to 2.7 leaving a 4.4' to 3.8' separation from the bottom of the trench & redox features. Soil boring #2 found mottled soil at 4.8' &the bottom of the rock at 1.9' to 2.4' leaving a 2.9' & 2.4' separation_ This system is classified as in Compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules for systems installed prior to April 1st 1996. The tanks were pumped & Certified by Kothrade, Sewer, Water& Excavating. Soil boring #3 &4 were completed showing an area for an alternate site if needed in the future. Nothing other than gray water(laundry, showers, etc.) human waste &toilet tissue should be disposed of into the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended, due to adding more solids &fine solids passing through to the system. Recommend to divert iron filters out of the system, recommend to divert the water softner also if diverting the iron filter. Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners used every shower& chlorine agents may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic effluent. Additives are not recommended. Recommend to pump & clean your tanks through the manhole by a certified pumper every 2 years. Check with your pumper to set up a schedule. This Certificate of Compliance is no guarantee that this system will continue to function indefinitely. Steven B. Schirmers Oct. 31. 2013 12: 02PM - No. 2113 P. 4 S-P TESTING, INC.
