POTENTIAL FOR SYSTEM FAILURE: (system age and condition, soils, etc. ) : low COMMENTS: In order to confirm that your septic system meets Minnesota standards, soil borings were performed to verify a 3 foot separation between the drainfield and the seasonal water table. The separation is 0.2 feet and the system is non-compliant. Osgood 365 Willow Drive North ' Long Lake, Mn 55356 Dear Mr. Osgood: An inspection of your septic system was conducted on August 28, 2000. A summary of the inspection is below. Septic Tank Condition 1. Pumpout needed within one year(last pumpout date 9/1/88). The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic system must be replaced by December 31, 2010. Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic system functions properly.
