RE: Permit#02-179. 1214 Wildhurst Trail, Orono
Email: During routinee inspections by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD)staff at the above
admin®minnehahacreekorg mentioned location, the following violations of permit#02-179 were observed and recorded on
February 26,2003:

www.minnehahacreek.org • Silt fence at rear of site nearest the lake is only 12"above ground.
• Silt fence at southern edge of site nearest the gully is only 12" above ground.
• Silt fence as installed is not effective.
The MCWD requires that the permit holder take the following action:
Board of Managers • Maintain and install silt fencing to MCWD specifications until disturbed soils are vegetated.
Install silt fences in the front of each site, on all downhill slopes and around stockpiles. Silt
Pamela a Blixt fence must be trenched in 6 inches and installed according to instructions.
James Calkins • Re-install silt fencing to be effective as a perimeter control to partially filter water leaving the
site and partially slow down the water to allow for sediment settling time with the objective of
Lance Fisher keeping all disturbed soils on site.
Monica Gross • The silt fence is very important at the rear upsiope from the lake as well as on the southern
side of the site just above the existing gully.

To avoid formal enforcement action from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District which may
