Box 66 Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 July 18, 2002 Ace Properties 5500 Anderson Estates Maple Plain, MN 55359 RE: Occupancy Requirements To Whom It May Concern: On November 28, 2001 the City received an after the fact building permit application to change the occupancy classification of the building located at 2685 Wayzata Boulevard. The building was classified as a B-2 Occupancy and the proposed use was a H-4 Occupancy. The H-4 Occupancy has different requirements then a B-2 because it is more hazardous occupancy. Enclosed is a list of requirements. The corrections may have been completed but need verification. The fire sprinkler system has not been installed. The sprinkler system and other code items are typically required to be completed before the building is occupied. Because of Western Steel's need to move from their existing building the City allowed the move to continue with the understanding that the corrections would be done as soon as possible. As of this date the sprinkler system has not been installed. This letter is to require you to submit sprinkler plans and permit application and to complete the installation before August 12, 2002. If his deadline is not met the City will forward the mater to the City Attorney for legal action. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my office.
