Mr. Tony Soderman
1000 Wildhurst Trail
Mound, Minnesota 55364
Dear Mr. Soderman:
I have discussed your request of the City to continue to use 1000
Wildhurst Trail as a permanent address assignment with Robert Waade,
the developer of the adjacent Wildhurst Estates. As we discussed in
our recent phone call, the 1000 number was never officially assigned
by the City nor is it consistent with the approved numbering system
adopted by the City. Any informal agreements made with a member of
staff would still have had to have been formalized with appropriate
notice to all departments of the City and other emergency agencies.
The 1000 number was assigned to property within the Wildhurst Estate's
plat because there was no official record of your use of the number.
The City's files still show your address assignment at 975 Wildhurst
Trail.
I have discussed this matter with Mr. Waade and he advises that he
followed the directives of the City in address assignments and has
spent a good deal of money in permanently engraving these numbered
designations on the entrance monument. Mr. Soderman if you are able
to reach some form of resolve of this matter with Mr. Waade within the
next two weeks, the City will assign a new address number for Mr.
Waade's property. In addition, staff would require that you place a
numbered designation locating your residence at the cul-de-sac so that
emergency vehicles can easily find your property. If you cannot reach
a private solution of this matter, the City must allow Mr. Waade the
right to retain the originally assigned numbers.
Please note staff has enclosed Ordinance No. 75 and Section 6.40 for
your information.

Staff hopes that you are able to resolve this matter with Mr. Waade.
Failing to hear from you within a two week period (June 8, 1992) , we
will assume that the matter was not able to be resolved by both
parties and the address assignments will remain as officially assigned
by the City of Orono - Soderman residence at 975 Wildhurst and Lot 2,
Block 1, 1000 Wildhurst.
Please contact my office if you have any questions pertaining to this
matter.

Re : 1000 Wildhurst Trail
Dear Jean:
It is always pleasure to deal with you and I am happy you were
able to give this matter some attention before any serious
problems developed. I had already spoken to Bob Waade who
informed me of your decision. I agreed to reimburse him for the
expense of changing "1000 Wildhurst" on his plat and you may
certainlly change the city records accordingly. As soon as Bob
has a cost I will still reimburse him.
I will also put up some address indicators by my driveway showing
that it is 1000 Wildhurst !
Let me know if anything else needs to be done .
Many thanks for your assistance.
Very truly yours,
Anthony R. derman
