Re: After The Fact Permit - Garage
Dear Mr. Olsen:
On 4 -8 - 91 the City received an after the fact permit.
application for a garage that had been placed on your property.
You were notified of the requirement for a survey to process your
applciation.
As of this date a survey has not been received. Therefore,
the City must require you to submit a survey or remove the
structure before 2-13-92. If this deadline is not met the City
will issue citations and refer the matter to the City Attorney
for further legal action.
It should be noted that the garage appears to be located
closer to the road then the house. Municipal Code Section 10.03,
Subdivision D, states "Location. No detached garages or other
accessory building shall be located nearer the front or street
lot line than the principal building on that lot." If it is in
fact in violation of this or any other code then you could ask
City Council for a variance.
