Box 66 � Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 November 29, 1994 Mr. Gregg Perl 309 Westlake Street Orono, Minnesota 55356 Re: After-the-Fact Building Permit Application to Raise a Portion of Roof Dear Mr. Perl: The City received your after-the-fact building permit application on November 14, 1994 to raise a portion of roof on your residence at 309 Westlake Street. A review of the application finds that the area where you raised the roof is in a substandard setback. As you know, a variance was granted to you to build that addition in the substandard setback. An expansion of the addition would also require Council approval. Therefore, the City must require you to remove the raised roof or if you feel you have a hardship, you may ask the City Council for another variance. Because this is an after-the-fact situation, the City must require you to remove the raised roof or apply for a variance before December 21, 1994.
