A site evaluation was completed for the existing Pressurized Mound
System installed on this property in the Fall of 1989 requested by
the Home Owner.
The Mound had effluent surfacing at the down slope toe of the Mound
in July 1991. The pumping chamber when I checked it in July, the
pump was running steady, the float switch was not functioning properly.
At this time the tanks appeared to be dry.
A quart jar test indicated the sand meets State Standards.
In August I checked the pump tank after a 2" rain finding ground
water entering around the 2" supply line to the mound. No one
was home to use water & water was flowing ( a typical flow as that
of a garden hose) from the 1st 2 tanks into the pumping chamber.
To resolve the problem, the tanks will need to be resealed & the
float switch repaired.
