Dear Mary Stotko:
The City of Orono records show the house was moved to the site, a permit was issued on
09-16-75. A well permit was issued on 01-09-76, and a septic system permit was issued on
06-01-76. A renovation permit was issued on 11-28-80 and a pole barn permit on 04-24-85.
The septic system was last inspected by the City on 06-19-00. The system was found to be
nonconforming due to the lack of a three foot separation between the bottom of the drain field
and seasonally high water table. The septic system must be replaced by 12/31/10. If the system
failed an started surfacing on ground the City would require immediate repair. In 1995 and 1997
slight surfacing was noted (see attached septic system inventory).
The City has no housing code that requires house be kept to a certain standard. Therefore there
are no outstanding orders on the property. If I can be of further assistance,please feel free to
