If the walls are installed over 4' or if tiered walls are not separated by more than 2x the height of the taller wall (as measured from the face of the upper wall to the back of the lower wall),then the walls will need to have a registered professional engineer design plans and specification for the retaining walls. • Is the proposed deck elevated or will there be grading around the deck?
