RE: Removal of driveways

I received a call from Josh LaFond inquiring about adding a patio to the side of the home and
driveway illumination. As stated in our February 18, 2011 letter, in conjunction with the permit
for the new home, driveways must be removed, the area restored with vegetation and an
as-built survey submitted before the final certificate of occupancy issued.
On September 14, 2011 the City inspector visited the site. It appears the blacktop has been
removed, but no vegetation has been established and silt fencing is missing. The City of Orono
will not issue any additional permits until vegetation has been established, an as-built survey is
received and approved and the final certificate of occupancy is issued.
The City continues to hold an escrow of $2,500 which will not be refunded, until all items listed
above are complete. If you have any questions on the above matter, please contact me at
