I have attached a copy of the approved survey for building permit #2010-00109. The City will allow you to keep the blacktop (as highlighted in yellow) in front of the detached garage. All other gravel and blacktop (highlighted in orange) must be removed. Make sure the alternate septic site and wetland buffer areas (both noted in green) are fenced off and are not disturbed with the removal process. Erosion control measures must be established around the wetland buffer area. Michael & Nicole VanPatten were notified in a letter dated December 20, 2010 that the existing home needed to be demolished and that a demolition permit was necessary. Thank you for complying with the demolition requirement. However, as we do not have a demolition permit in our files, it appears the demolition was conducted without the proper permits and inspections. Please submit the enclosed demolition permit and pay the required $75 fee to clear up this issue. Please be aware, the City holds an escrow of $2,500 which will not be refunded, nor will the final certificate of occupancy be issued, until all of the outstanding issues are resolved.
