Pudil President and CEO Washington Scientific Industries Inc. 2605 West Wayzata Boulevard Long Lake, MN 55356 RE: Washington Scientific Site II MPCA Project Number VP 10021 Annual Report Approval Letter Dear Mr. Pudil: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency(MPCA) staff in the Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup(VIC) Unit are working cooperatively with you to address concerns associated with contaminated ground water at the Washington Scientific facility located at 2605 West Wayzata Boulevard in Long Lake(the Site). This Site is being administered through the VIC Unit as the Washington Scientific II Site with project number VP10021. The MPCA staff have reviewed the "Annual Ground Water Monitoring Summary Report,"(the Annual Report)prepared by Peer Environmental&Engineering Resources, Inc. (PEER),dated August 2000. The Annual Report summarizes results from four ground water sampling events,monitoring well construction activities, and makes recommendations regarding monitoring activities for the upcoming year.
