HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-07-1989 Park Commission Minutes . _ ,� � � c� � o� � U � ze� MINUTES OF ORONO PARK COMMISSION March 7, 1989 Attendance: Kelley, Vongries, Kokal, Erger, Bradley, Gilbert, plus Gerhardson. Absent: Sweatt and Flint. The minutes of Feb. 7th meeting were approved. John Gerhardson reported that over 450 replies were received from the residents' park survey. He and Bruce Kokal will design a statistical report form and our members will compile the data. Written comments and suggestions will be noted for discussion at the next meeting. The results of the data will be forwarded to the Council with our recommendations arter our next meeting. John Gerhardson is preparing an update of our revised city trail map for submission to Hennepin County officials. After further discussion on park dedication fees, it was the unanimous recommendation of the Commission members that we continue the present fixed- fee basis. Gerhardson will present at the next meeting a report comparing the asses�or's property values versus sales prices of recent subdivisions. Gerhardson will check with Orono School District on further interest in a joint planning meeting with surrounding municipalities. Gilbert raised the matter of Park Commission involvement on the mi�foil probiem in Lake Minnetonka. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 pm. Next meeting is Tuesday, April 4, 7 pm. Philip G.
