Dear Mr. Willett:
This is in reply to your letter dated May 20, 2008 regarding our April 23`d 2008 SAC Audit for
the City of Orono during the period of October 2005 through February 2008.
Responses to exceptions:
Our Findings & Our Explanations
1. Permit#P09310—2605 Wayzata Blvd W. in October of 2005.
No plumbing in this building, therefore; no need to collect SAC per our building official.
We don't owe any money for this.
2. Permit#P09878 —2175 Shevlin Drive,being reported June 2006.
Per e-mail with Jessie Nye, this was a typo. 2175 Shevlin Drive was reported in
May of 2006 at which time the City paid Met Council.
The June 2006 report should have reported Permit #P09993 for 2275 Webber Hills
Road. This is a wash and we owe no money and since we did not report Webber Hills,
Met Council owes us no money either.

3. Permit#P09860—2180 North Shore Drive in June of 2006.
This permit was issued, under an addition/remodel permit. We have never reported on
addition/remodel permits before. Looking back in the file, we realize we should have in
this instance because it was a School, and special considerations were made. However
at the time the permit was issued, the letter was not included with the permit and no
indication was made to report SAC. We did however collect SAC, and yes we owe you
$3,100.
4. Permit#P10266—3502 Skyline (your typo should be 3502 Shoreline Drive) dated
September 2007.
This was a simple remodel, with only a few minor changes. No SAC was due per our
building official because of the simplicity. The original hook-up was Permit #2352 dated
11126169. A wash, one for one.
Our conclusion is that we owe you the Met Council a total of$3,100.
We will make the adjustment on the May 2008 SAC Report. If you have any further

Dear Mr.Olson:
We recently completed a SAC review on April 23d,'2008 of the Service Availability Charge(SAC)
reports for the City of Orono for the period of October 2005 through February 2008. ,
The following exceptions were noted:
Explanation Amount
1. Building permit P09310,dated October 27,2005,was issued for a storage building $1,450
located at 2605 Wayzata Blvd.W.without SAC being collected. There is 1 unit at the
2005 rate of$1,450 due for this permit. (See letter reference 080516A3)
?.! Building permit P09878 issued for a single family home located at 2175 Shevlin Drive ($1,550)
was remitted on the May and June 2006 SAC report. There is 1 unit at the 2006 rate of
$-1,550 due to the City for this error.
,3. Building permit P09860,dated June 12,2006,was issued for a Hill Elementary School $3,100
addition/remodel located at 2180 North Shore Drive without SAC being collected.
There are 2 units at the 2006 rate of$1,550 each due for this permit. (See copy of letter
reference 060531B3.)
4. Building permit P10266,dated September 7,2006,was issued for an office addition 1 550
located at 3502 Skyline Drive without SAC being collected. There is 1 unit at the 2006
rate of$1,550 due for this permit. (See letter reference 080516A4)
Total SAC Amount Due: $4,550
To make this correction,please include the atnount of$4,550 on the MqY SAC report.
