HELD OCTOBER 4, 1989
ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. -
The Park Commission met on the above date with the following
members present: Lester Kelley, Bruce Kokal, Alexander
Vongries, Richard Flint, Philip Bradley and Lee Erger. The
following represented the City staff: Public Works Director
Gerhardson. The following persons were absent: James Gilbert and
Virginia Sweatt,
APPROVAL OF MINUTES -
The minutes of the August meeting were corrected to show
that John Gerhardson indicated that ag Iime will be used
experimentally to create a walk-type path adjacent to the repaved
portion of East Long Lake Road and the minutes were then
approved. The September meeting lacked a quorum.
II.S. WEST -
A request for a permanent uti3ity box easement by U.S. West
at Bederwood Park was tabled to explore the possibility of
Ieasing the site on a ten-year basis.
PLAYGROUND EQIIIPMENT -
A letter from Mrs. Sherokee Ilse suggesting adding
playground equipment and a tennis court at Bederwood Park was
received. Flint wiZl. investigate equipment at Plymouth parks and
report at the next meeting.
PARR DEDICATION ORDINANCE -
A discussion of the proposed Park Dedication Ordinance
written by Gilbert was followed by a directive to Gerhardson to
convene a meeting with Gilbert, Flint and Bradley to finalize the
3anguage of the proposed amendment for presentation at the
November meeting.
SDMMIT PARR -
Flint expressed concern regarding the impact on Long Lake
and Summit Park by the proposed redevelopment plans of the City
of Long Lake.
ADJOORNMENT 9:20 P.M.
The regular Park Commission meeting was adjourned at 9 :20
p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 14, 1989 at 7:00
p.m.
