HELD NOVEMBER 14, 1989
ATTENDANCE 7:35 P.M. -
The Park Commission met on the above date with the following
members present: Lester Kelley, Bruce Kokal , James Gilbert,
Richard Flint, Philip Bradley and Lee Erger. The following
represented the City staff: Public Works Director Gerhardson.
The following persons were absent: Virginia Sweatt and Alexander
Vongries,
APPROVAL OF MINUTSS -
The minutes of the October 4th meeting were approved.
PARR DEDICATION FEE ORDINANCE -
A further discussion of the proposed amendment of the Park
Dedication Fee ordinance Ied to a motion by Kelley, seconded by
Flint, to recommend adoption of the attached amendment by the
City Council. Ayes 5, nays 0.
A motion by Flint, seconed by Gilbert, to recommend adoption
by the City Council of the attached amendment to Orono Ordinance
#1252 to incl.ude "trails and open space" as permitted uses of
Park Dedication Fees. Ayes 5, nays 0. Commission members Flint,
Gilbert and Bradley will present the amendment recommendations to
the City Council at its next meeting November 27, 1989; 7:00 p.m.
ADJOORNMENT 9:10 P.M.
The regular Park Commission meeting was adjourned at 9 :10
p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, December 5, 1989 at 7 :00
p.m. At the next meeting the Commission will review a tax
forfeit parcel request by Fairview Covenant Church and a lease
proposal from U.S. West for a site at Bederwood Park.
