The �eting opened at 7:05 1'M With the following in attendance:

rark Dedicetion lee Ordinance: Due to schedule conflict, Gerhardaon will �
try to reschedule our preaentation to the City Council of the propoaed
asend�enta to Jan. 8th.
Tax 1►orfeited rroperty: Mr. lred Abrahaoeon, chairmen of dairview Covenant
Church, appeared to request that City of Orono re:cind public sale of Lot
6, Eergquist � Nicklund Addn. to per�it the lot to be acquired by either
the church (which o�wns adjoining Lot 7) or the City. The church hae
■aintained Lot 7 aa a softball field for over 20 year�, and ie urging
that the recreation�l area be enlarged by acquiring Lot 6. Mr. Abraha'aon
will check if the church is willing to deed Lot 7 to the City for park
purposes, and John Gerhardaon will find out asount of aeaesaaents unpaid
on Lot 6. The lark Co�sission will try to �ove quickly, if agree�ent can
be reached, to prevent Lot 6 (which ie claaaified ea a buildable lot)
fro� being sold by 1lennepin County. A apecial weeting asy be called.
U.S. Neet Leaae: No reaponae has been received from U.S. Neat regarding
our proposal to lease the■ a site for a phone cabinet in Eederwood Tark.
ltesignation: Gerhardson reported that Virginia �weatt is reaignin� from
the co�0iasion. MOTION bq Vongriea, aecond by 1►lint, to accept with regret
her resignation and to expresa appreciation for her yrears of service.

MOTION by Vongries, aecond by �okal, to reco�end to City Council that
nu�ber of ?ark Cossiasion �enbers be reduced fros 8 to 7, thereby �aking
it easier to achieve a quoru�. After discusaion, 'otion was withdrawn,
Gerhardaon Will advertise vacancy in the newspapers.
MO?ION by 1►lint, aecond by 1Coka1, to change �eeting dates to lst Monday
in the aonths of l�ebruary through April, 1990. rasaed.
