To summarize our conversation: The customer at 2190 Wayzata Blvd currently has 2 panels. A fire panel (EST panel) in the vestibule that is connected to 3 Pulls, Duct Detectors, Flow and Gate. The Fire panel is connected to a panel (Focus Panel) in the IT room. The Focus panel has Burglary points on it and also dials monitoring for the Fire (EST) panel. We are to replace the Focus panel with a Vista 128 (which is a Fire rated panel). The Vista 128 panel will then have the Burglary points on it and dial for the Fire (EST Panel)The additions we need to complete to meet current code is to add a smoke in the vestibule for the Fire (EST) panel and a smoke and pull in the IT room for the vista panel. We are not able to add points to the Fire panel (EST) therefore we will need to add the 2 smokes and 1 pull to the vista panel. As per our conversation could you confirm that it is ok to have the 2 smokes and 1 pull on the vista panel? I will submit the full scope and permit application tomorrow. Contact Information: Jennifer Pashina email jpashina@service800.com (952)475-3747 JeffSteeno@tyco.com 612 710-1770 System Operation: Currently the customer has a focus system that dials for an Edwards Fire panel. The customer is looking to update the system to a Vista panel. Programming Info: The Tyco tech will perform the following -Replace the Focus panel with the Vista FA/BA panel (we are not using the Focus forward vista panel because we have to replace all of the motions regardless so we might as well use the standard Vista 128 FA/BA panel and replace the remaining 3 door sensors and avoid the typical problems we have with the focus forward panels) -replace the 6 motions -replace the 3 door sensors -Replace the 1 Focus keypad with a Vista keypad. -add a smoke and pull at both the vista location and the Edwards location to full fill code. -add the Honeywell approved sole path fire communicator -reconnect to the Edwards panel located in the from vestibule -Test system -return with AHJ to close permit. Currently there is a keypad reader on the system. That will be discarded and the Keypad reader will be replaced with a Kanatch system that is independent of this Vista 128 Fie panel. We will be conducting this install at the same time as this install. The 3 fire points will be on board pts. Parson's will run the dedicated circuit. Quote is attached. Site Conditions: Office complex with 9ft suspended ceilings. We will use the legacy wire and keep this configuration the same. Customer Expectations: Customer expects tech to show up on the scheduled time that was determined when scheduled. If there is a schedule change the customer expected to be notified immediately of schedule change. If the tech is taken away from the job the customer needs to be notified as to what day they will not be on site and when they will return to complete the install. Tyco will perform work during normal business hours 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Upon entering the site tech will identify themselves to staff and sign in the visitor log. Training Expectations: Direct training to Jennifer. Train on how to arm disarm add users. General Comments: There is a hold up button on the data sheet. The customer is not aware of and has never seen a hold up button nor do they want one. I Believe the button was taken out some time ago and was not properly programmed. If by chance it is found we will not be using it. Customer Responsibilities/Tyco Exclusions: Customer allow tech to complete install during normal business hours (which is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm)and allow tech access to necessary area of the site to complete install. SYSTEM SENSOR ?£ Photoelectric • .,—: Smoke Detectors System Sensor i3""series smoke detectors represent significant advancement in conventional detection. The i3 family is founded on three principles:installation TM ease, intelligence, and instant inspection. Features Installation ease. The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. This allows an installer to pre-wire bases(included •Plug-in detector line, mounting base included with heads). The large wire entry port and in-line terminals provide •Large wire entry port ample room for neatly routing the wiring inside the base. The base •In-line terminals with SEMS screws accommodates a variety of back box mounting methods as well as •Mounts to octagonal and single-gang back boxes,4-square back direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation,P heads plug into the base with a simple Stop-Drop'N Lock-action. boxes,or direct to ceiling •Stop-Drop'N Lock attachment to base Intelligence.i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features •Removable detector cover and chamber to simplify testing and maintenance.Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the P line to minimize •Built-in remote maintenance signaling nuisance alarms.2-wire i3 detectors can generate a remote LED- •Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms indicated maintenance signal when connected to the 2W-MOD2 •Simplified sensitivity measurement loop test/maintenance module or a panel equipped with the i3 protocol. The SENS-RDR,a wireless device, displays the sensitivityof 13 •Wide-angle,dual color LED indication detectors in terms of percent-per-foot obscuration. •Loop testing via EZ Walk feature •Built-in test switch Instant inspection. The i3 series provides wide-angle red and green LED indicators for instant inspection of the detector's condition:normal standby,out-of-sensitivity,alarm,or freeze trouble. When connected to the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel with the i3 protocol, the EZ Walk loop test feature is available on 2-wire i3 detectors. This feature verifies the initiating loop wiring by providing LED status indication at each detector.
